The new normal in the time of coronavirus

SINGAPORE – There appears to be a new normal in Singapore. It hit me a couple weeks ago, when I decided to brave the Sunday evening crowd in the mall near my home to run an errand.

Surprise number 1: There was no queue of cars in the narrow lane leading to the carpark.
