Like everyone else, I had some big plans for the year in 2020, but in March when the lockdown happened, it was a shock to me. Even then I thought it was just a matter of a few days. It took me some time to realise that the lockdown, health and economic crises were going to last longer than anyone would have imagined.
‘I reinvented myself in 2020’
I think reinvention was the key to adapting to the new situation and the sooner someone did that, the better it was. When everyone had started taking interest in cooking, I thought that was the right time to focus on creating content digitally. I used to do that earlier on social media, but not very regularly. Last year, I reinvented myself, learnt new skills to create digital content and I am so glad that all the hard work was worth it. I used to shoot videos at home in my garden with limited camera equipment. I learnt video editing in one day and started posting one video each day and got an amazing response. So I think for me, the year 2020 was the year of learning new skills and a lot of experiments.
‘Immunity and health food will be the keywords in 2021’ Luckily for us food has emerged as a big hero during this pandemic and the focus will remain on immunity boosters and health foods. I have done a great deal of research on local ingredients that are great immunity boosters and I will continue doing that in 2021. I am looking forward to travelling to different parts of India for this in the coming year.
