PARIS — Jean-Luc Reitzer, a conservative member of Frances National Assembly, has been hospitalized after contracting coronavirus, his office confirmed Friday.
Reitzer, from Les Républicains, is a lawmaker for the Alsace region. He was hospitalized in Mulhouse, 100 kilometers south of Strasbourg, and is now in a “stable condition,” his office told POLITICO.
The National Assembly announced Thursday that a lawmaker had been infected with the virus and was in intensive care, without naming him. An employee working at the institutions snack bar, who also tested positive for coronavirus, has been quarantined at home and another employee, who worked in the assemblys restaurant, is in hospital with a suspected case of the virus.
