Sergio Ramos is backing Virgil van Dijk to win the Ballon dOr after leading Liverpool to Champions league glory last season.
Van Dijk is battling with fellow frontrunners Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, but has already beaten the pair to one major accolade, Uefa Mens Player of the Year.
Despite a long and fiery rivalry with the Reds, Ramos thinks Van Dijk deserves the top award, saying: Van Dijk is a great centre back, hes played a very, very good season and if hes still there its because he deserves it.

Luka Modric broke Messi and Ronaldos grip on the Ballon dOr last year, becoming the first player since 2007 to beat the attacking duo to the award.
