Daniil Medvedev has been fined $9,000 (£7,400) for his antics during a straight sets win over Feliciano Lopez, in which he aimed a middle finger at fans, snatched a towel from a ball person and taunted the US Open crowd.
Tournament organisers slapped the world No. 5 with a $5,000 fine for unsportsmanlike conduct and a further $4,000 for a visible obscenity, taking his total fines for this event up to $19,000 (£15,600).
The 23-year-old has been fined in each of his three matches at the final Grand Slam of the season, with previous offences for verbal abuse and racquet abuse.
Umpire Damian Dumusois was unable to hand the Russian a code violation for his not-so-subtle swearing because he didnt see it live, but he has been retrospectively fined after it was picked up by cameras in the stadium.

Medvedev's post-match speech
Thank you all guys, because your energy tonight give me the win.
Because if you were not here, guys, I would probably lose the match because I was so tired, I was cramping yesterday, it was so tough on me to play. So I want all of you to know, when you sleep tonight, I won because of you.
Again, the only thing I can say, the energy youre giving me right now, guys, I think it will be enough for my five next matches. The more you do this, the more I will win, for you guys.
It was tough. I was in the heat of the moment, Medvedev said in his post-match media duties. I started losing the momentum, so it was tough. I dont really remember…and I paid for it the whole match after., because as you saw it wasnt that easy, so Im just happy to win.
Yeah, actually, even though as I say, I paid for it the whole match, but the crowd was electric and even the bad energy, I needed to turn it into good energy, and thats why I won.
