Cosby makes first appearance since mistrial

Bill Cosby has made his first reported appearance in public since he was prosecuted for sexual misconduct.

A mistrial was declared in June 2017, but a retrial is scheduled for April.

At the original trial a jury was unable to reach a verdict after deliberating for five days.

Cosby is accused of sexually assaulting Andrea Constand at his home in the Philadelphia suburb of Cheltenham in January 2004, after drugging her and rendering her incapacitated.

The comedian turned up at the Larose Jazz Club in Philadelphia on Monday for a charity event to help raise money to buy musical instruments for children in need.
