Olivier Giroud insists he is determined to win his place back in the Chelsea starting line-up after dropping behind Tammy Abraham in the pecking order.
French striker Giroud has started just one of Chelseas four Premier League matches so far this season, with Frank Lampard instead putting his faith in 21-year-old Abraham.
The youngster has not let his new manager down, scoring four goals already to emerge as Chelseas first-choice forward.
This is not the first time Giroud has found it difficult to break into Chelseas starting XI since joining from Arsenal in 2018 but he still has his sights set on more first-team football.

Asked whether he will be happy to accept a more limited role under Lampard this term, Giroud told Le Figaro: Obviously not. I have goals in my head.
Im here to help the next generation, but the time for retirement has not come.
Im still hungry and have a lot of ambition. I dont want to be Chelseas No.2 striker, for sure.
Just because Im here as an older brother for the younger players, it doesnt mean Im out on the sidelines.
