Everton manager Marco Silva has taken a dim view of Jordan Pickfords brawl with a bouncer outside a Sunderland pub last weekend and reminded the England No.1 of his duties and obligations.
The 25-year-old, who started his career with Sunderland prior to joining Everton for £30m in 2017, returned home at the weekend for Mothers Day as well as to watch his former club against Portsmouth in the Checkatrade Trophy final with friends.
However, Pickfords homecoming was soured when he was goaded by football fans at a pub who reportedly called him small arms and butterfingers before targeting his fiancee Megan Davison for abuse. Footage emerged on social media of Pickford throwing punches and having to be led away from the pub.
Following the scuffle, Pickford was scheduled to hold talks with Silva and Evertons director of football Marcel Brands on Wednesday. Ahead of Evertons game against Arsenal on Sunday, Silva admitted that he was unhappy with the situation.

If you ask me as a manager I am not happy with what happened, he told the media.

Football players have duties and obligations. It is a matter for us to remind him and everything we must do we already did.
The first chat of the week I was clear with him. Everything is clear in his mind about his obligations. It is my expectation it wont happen again.
No one is happy with the situation, it was not a good thing. The matter is finished in this moment.
