Basford takes the win | Captain v Presidents Trophy

Last weeks Tuesday Veterans 9 hole competition was a close round which saw Jim Taylor in first place (19c/b), Jo Beales in second place (19c/b) and Laurie Bedford in third (19c/b). Wednesday Womens Captain V Presidents Trophy was a great turn out. Sponsored by Denise Warren, first place went to the Presidents team player Rosemary Basford (38), second was Kim Robson from the Captains side (37 c/b) and third went to Sarah Roddy (37), also from the Captains side. Round two of Thursday Mens Scroungers 18-hole Stableford event sponsored by Cowaramup Agencies attracted a big field once again boasting 90 players. Andrea Botha was top man (4) while second place went to Jim Triglone (39) and David Benson in third (38). Fridays mixed 9-hole stableford event saw First Man going to Terry Haywood (19), First Woman to Val Meleri (18c/b). Saturdays Mens Mug of Mugs sponsored by Leeuwin Estate had Bill Ross first (66), Michael Lawson in second place (67) and third place went to Mark Owen from Augusta Golf Club (68). Sundays mixed Ambrose 4s event sponsored by The Berry Farm attracted a big field of 93 players. The first teams total score was 56.125 from Penny Foy, Lynda Glasson, David Glasson and Mal Bromley. Second team in on 56.25 was Wayne Clark, Adrian Walsh, Ken Miles and Mark Owen. Third place went to Roy Warren, Pierre Every, Donald Bredenkamp and Jeff Crouch with a team score of 57.25.
