Paul Scholes has hit out at Paul Pogba for the comments he made in the wake of Manchester Uniteds defeat to Brighton.
Speaking immediately after the Red Devils were beaten 3-2 by Brighton, Pogba admitted his attitude was not good enough and that Brighton were hungrier than United.
He said: My attitude was not right. It has to be a big lesson for us. They had more hunger than us.

But Scholes, who won 11 Premier League titles at Manchester United, was shocked by Pogbas admission and said there was no defence for the captains comments.

I hope that is lost in translation, the legendary midfielder said. There is no defence for that comment, there is no defence for it.
You say it to yourself, dont you? Youre constantly saying to yourself: “Attitude right, make sure its right.”

Glenn Murray gave Brighton the lead at the Falmer Stadium, neatly guiding the ball past David De Gea from an inviting cross.
Defender Shane Duffy doubled Brightons advantage less than three minutes later, finding space in the box and firing into the bottom corner.
Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku reduced the deficit with a close-range header, before Pascal Gross was felled by Eric Bailly in the penalty area and restored Brightons two-goal cushion from the spot.
Pogba scored a penalty of his own in injury-time but United did not have any time to find an equaliser as they succumbed to a hugely deflating defeat.
