They scored, they appealed for VAR, they even did the Griezmann Fortnite dance – children from a top Moscow football school came together to replay the World Cup final, just for the fun of it.

Somewhere between those Lego reenactments on YouTube and Bugsy Malone, the match took place at Moscows Sapsan stadium. While everyone surely wanted to put on the shirt of the dabbing Paul Pogba, or be hit it from outside the box like Kylian Mbappe (himself weirdly just a handful of years older than the children in the video) spare a thought for the football prodigy whose first filmed appearance was playing Dejan Lovren.
