SNCTM (it doesn’t stand for anything, FYI. It’s just ‘sanctum’ with the vowels removed) is a super swanky erotic club for all the cool people in LA. It hosts secret parties filled with sexual experimentation, erotic theatre, burlesque performances.
And next year it’s coming to London. Lucky us.
Full disclosure, though, you’re not invited. Anyone who fancies tagging along to one of SNCTM’s party will need to apply for membership, which is rumoured to cost £100,000 a year. Women can buy a ticket or volunteer to be performers, whereas men will need to be full-time members. Once you’re in you can engage in the erotic goings-on, get it on with your partner or guest with the performances as the backdrop, or just sit back and watch.
There’s usually dinner served, in case you’re peckish.
The dress code is strict – black tie, masks, lingerie – but the requirements for entry are stricter. The club doesn’t let any old riff-raff in, asking everyone who wishes to attend a party to apply online. The application requires photos of yourself, and asks about your name, occupation, the SNCTM members you know, and your sexual desires. Only applicants deemed to be a good fit for the SNCTM society will go through to the next phase.
The founder of the club, Damon Lawner, told Goop they look for ‘beauty, intelligence, wit, success, sexiness, wisdom, openness, non-judgement, desire to explore, fearlessness.’ Not picky, then.
After years of intrigue in LA, SNCTM is now heading on a world tour – which will include parties in London.
The London events are set for 26 May and 26 August 2018, at secret locations likely to be homes owned by super-rich British people who are already members of the club.
Founder Damon Lawner told The Sun: ‘I think these might be some of the best parties we show. I feel like London is primed and ready for something like this.

‘It is attracting very wealthy types of people, it’s attracting a lot of celebrity clients and its also attracting lots of young women who want to explore their sexuality.
‘For a lot of these people – who have everything and have done everything… they come into this, and they have this incredible time.’
