Coronavirus lockdown: Platform to connect help seekers with givers launched

NEW DELHI: In order to provide relief to people facing challenges during the 21-day nationwide lockdown to contain the spread of the Covid-19 disease, two civil society organisations have come together to launch a platform for establishing a hassle free connect between help seekers and help givers.
The platform called I-Can: India Co-Win Action Network seeks to connect people who can help with people who need help, given that access to usual channels of everyday utility have taken a hit in India's fight to contain the coronavirus.
I-Can' is the brainchild of Dr Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, BJP Vice President and MP who is also the Vice-Chairman of Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini(RMP) who in collaboration with Amit Tuteja of Connecting Dreams Foundation of Delhi jointly launched the platform.
Sahasrabuddhe said that the unprecedented pandemic has caused "unimaginable de-stabilisation" and while many people are willing to help, "connecting the help giver with a help seeker without any hassles and in a short span of time is a big issue."
Launching the platform, the BJP leader said,“More than 376 volunteers from twenty states have already registered in the last 3 days since it got launched. We have collected 157 challenges, and close to 2,700 people have already benefited through this platform."
Volunteers can register on the website aRead More – Source
