NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Friday allowed National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru, to conduct its separate entrance examination—NLAT-2020— but restrained it from declaring the results and admitting students till the pendency of the plea against it.
Though a bench of Justices Ashok Bhushan, R Subhash Reddy and M R Shah questioned the University for holding a separate examination and distancing itself from CLAT, the common entrance test for admission to law courses, it, however, refrained from interfering in it as the exam was scheduled for Saturday.
“In the meantime, the examination for admission in pursuance of notification dated September 04 may take place but neither the result shall be declared nor any admission be made consequent thereto.
