The Necessary Stage has made available for free another of its plays for a limited time on the Vimeo platform. This is the 2017 staging of writer Haresh Sharma's 1990 play, which tells the tale of students and teachers at a neighbourhood secondary school.
Karen Tan is the emotional anchor as the devoted drama teacher Mrs Phua while the hardworking ensemble cast of Ghafir Akbar, Joshua Lim, Lian Sutton and Siti Kahlijah Zainal switch between multiple roles and languages as the teachers, parents and students.
