SINGAPORE – As the snaking queues to buy groceries grew longer, shoppers at the two-storey FairPrice supermarket in central Bedok started abandoning their baskets, including the frozen food items in them.
A few hours after the disease outbreak alert was raised from yellow to orange at about 5.30pm last Friday (Feb 7), the crowd at this 24-hour FairPrice supermarket at Block 212 Bedok North Street 1 is growing at an alarming rate.
