Bong Joon-ho might next month become the second person from Asia to pick up an Academy Award for Best Director.
Lee Ang, from Taiwan, made history when his 2005 romantic drama Brokeback Mountain made him the first Asian, and first non-white person, to win that accolade. With the allegorical fantasy Life Of Pi (2012), he added one more Best Director statuette to his shelf.
