THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Eight Keralites who were holidaying in Nepal died in a freak accident that happened at a resort last night. The deceased include four children. The deceased belong to two families – one from Kunnamangalam in Kozhikode and the other from Chenkottukonam in Thiruvananthapuram.
According to the office of minister of state for external affairs V Muraleedharan, the deceased are Prabin Kumar (39), Sharanya (34), Ranjith Kumar T B (39), Indu Ranjith (34), Sreebhadra (9), Abhinav Surya (9), Abhi Nair (7) and Vaishnav Ranjith (2). Their dead bodies are now kept at a hospital in Kathmandu. While Praveen and family are from Thiruvananthapuram, Ranjith and family are from Kozhikode.
The members of the travel team were found unconscious at Everest Panorama resort at Daman, in Makawanpur district in Nepal in the early morning of Tuesday.
