Twitter suspended the account of France Libre 24, a website made to look like a French news outlet thats actually run by Polish far-right activists, a spokesperson for the company told POLITICO.
The account was suspended because it violated the social medias spam policy, the spokesperson said.
Research by POLITICO and EU DisinfoLab showed that France Libre 24, which publishes news stories on French politics and social affairs, is actually run by a group of Polish far-right activists who are linked to the right-wing Konfederacja party and former MEP Janusz Korwin-Mikke.
According to Twitters platform manipulation and spam policy, the social media cannot be used “to engage in bulk, aggressive, or deceptive activity that misleads others and/or disrupts their experience.”
