Week after abduction, Pak law student returns home

ISLAMABAD: Dua Mangi (20), who was abducted from an upscale neighbourhood in Karachi on November 30, has returned home, a senior police officer confirmed on Saturday.
“Dua reached her home safely today,” said Sharjil Kharal, a deputy inspector general of police. He said that an investigation into the case was going on.
Duas mother while speaking to media said, “Our daughter has safely returned home. I am thankful to media and the civil society.” Neither police nor her family shared further details of her release. Her abductors, however, had demanded a hefty ransom of $250,000 from her family for her release.
