SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir authorities shifted jailed former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti to a government-owned VIP bungalow on Maulana Azad Road here on Friday in line with the governments decision to shift all political detainees to more comfortable places due to the onset of the winter season.
The accommodation to which she has been moved, House No 5, is just behind the official bungalow in which she had lived when her father, Mufti Muhammad Sayeed, was CM from 2002 to 2005.
However, former CM Omar Abdullah, of NC, remains at Hari Niwas Palace on Gupkar Road, near The LaLit hotel.
