LONDON — Boris Johnson launched his election campaign with a pledge to deliver Brexit in January and “spend hundreds of millions every week” on domestic priorities.
The prime minister stood on the steps of 10 Downing Street as he fired the official starting gun on the six-week election campaign.
Johnson pledged to “inject a surge of confidence into our system” if he won a majority in the December 12 poll, and said “hundreds of billions are waiting to pour in the U.K.”
“We will make this country the greatest place to live,” he pledged.

“On day one of the new parliament in December, we will start getting our deal through so that we can get Brexit done in January and unleash this countrys potential,” he said. “Well be able to spend hundreds of millions every week on our priorities.”
