Paul Scholes believes Manchester Uniteds senior players including Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic are setting a bad example for the clubs younger players.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaers side made an encouraging start to the new Premier League campaign with a 4-0 victory over Chelsea but have not registered a win in their last three matches.
United were held to a 1-1 draw by Southampton, which has left Solskjaer still searching for his first away win since he signed a three-year contract with the club at the end of March.
Scholes says he was impressed with Juan Matas display against Southampton but admits the other more experienced players at United are making it difficult for the younger members of the squad.
I am disappointed. It looked like from when the moment Juan Mata went off, actually, Scholes told Premier League Productions.

I was surprised because I thought if anybody is going to create something its Juan Mata.

But it wasnt the young players I was disappointed with, it was more the experienced players.

When Matic came on he constantly gave the ball away, Ashley Young gave the ball away, I dont know how many times Paul Pogba lost possession.
These are the people that young players are looking up to, the examples youre looking at.
