Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was in favour of Manchester United selling Paul Pogba but only if the club met his two conditions, according to reports.
Pogba made it clear that he wanted to leave Old Trafford this summer by claiming that he was seeking a new challenge.
Zinedine Zidane had made signing the France international one of his priorities as he looked to rebuild his Real Madrid squad in the summer transfer window.
But ultimately, Madrid were unwilling to meet Uniteds asking price which started at £150 million and Pogba ended up staying at Old Trafford.

Solskjaer publicly insisted that he wanted to keep Pogba but according to MailOnline the United manager was actually in favour of allowing the midfielder to leave.
The report claims that Solskjaer would have supported Uniteds decision to sell Pogba but only if the 26-year-old was offloaded at the start of the transfer window and the midfielders transfer fee was used to bring in more signings at Old Trafford.
