After dismantling Arsenal at Anfield last week, Jurgen Klopp stuck with the same starting XI and his side rarely looked like dropping points at Turf Moor.
A 3-1 victory over Unai Emerys side saw Liverpool equal the 12-match winning sequence enjoyed by Kenny Dalglishs 1990 vintage, but Klopps Champions League holders have now gone one better.
Having weathered an early storm, Liverpool took the lead in slightly fortuitous circumstances when Trent Alexander-Arnolds cross clipped the back of Burnley striker Chris Wood and looped over a stranded Nick Pope in the 33rd minute.
