Collingwood midfielder Brayden Sier will answer to the Magpies' leadership group after playing a social basketball match while injured on Monday night and then failing to admit he had done so when asked about his actions.
Although the 21-year-old trained fully on Thursday, he will not be considered for selection in the AFL team travelling to Adelaide, while Collingwood's VFL team has a bye.

It's considered likely that Sier will face a financial sanction rather than suspension, however his chances of regaining his spot in the senior team have reduced as he will need to win back the trust of his teammates and key leaders at the club with only two games and finals remaining.
Having not played the past three rounds due to a calf injury, Sier's transgression came to light when AFL Media reported Sier had played a social basketball match under the name "Phil Inn".

Collingwood coach Nathan Buckley was in a forgiving mood publicly, but admitted the fact Sier tried to keep the truth from the club was something the Magpies took seriously.
"I can understand. It is a very human thing to try to sweep things away [but] it is an important part of it," Buckley said.
"The integrity of how we communicate to each other is more important [than] anything external."
Sier, who is on the verge of re-signing with Collingwood, played a key role in the Magpies' surge to the grand final last season but he could not win a spot in the AFL team until Queen's Birthday in 2019, and he has not come close to recapturing the form he showed last season.
Buckley said only Sier could answer whether the incident would cause the penny to drop for him about what is required if he wants to reach his full potential, with the coach's main concern Saturday's match against the Crows.
