Essendon legend Matthew Lloyd says Joe Daniher owes the club some good football after it was revealed on Monday that Daniher had met with Sydney Swans CEO Tom Harley.
While the Swans and Bombers both played down the meeting, it raised eyebrows, with the Bomber big man out of contract at the end of 2020.

However, with Daniher having only played 11 matches in the past two years after his All-Australian season in 2017, Lloyd said he would be disappointed if the star forward departed the club.
"I think he owes them some football," Lloyd told Footy Classified.

"After paying Joe really big money for the last two years, I'd be disappointed as an Essendon fan if Joe didn't, after all they've done for Joe, come back and play some good football for the Essendon Football Club.
"Time will tell because I think there's a contract extension being offered to Joe either now or very shortly. So if Joe resists that, then you'd be a bit concerned."
But Carlton great Chris Judd dismissed the notion that the star forward owed anyone anything.
"To me, a player's loyalty lies to be as professional as they possibly can while they're at the footy club, and to me it looks like Joe has done that," Judd told Footy Classified.
"He's obviously had some bad luck, albeit through injury, but in the end your real loyalty is to yourself to make sure you reach your full potential.
