New Zealand can win the Cricket World Cup, according to Virat Kohli (Picture: Getty)
India captain Virat Kohli insists New Zealand are more than capable of winning the World Cup and has warned England that the Kiwis become a dangerous side in the right conditions.
Kohli knows only too well the threat New Zealand can pose, with his India team suffering an 18-run defeat to the Black Caps on Wednesday in the first World Cup semi-final.
New Zealand made just 239-8 against Kohlis side but still prevailed after producing a brilliant bowling performance to bowl India out for 221.
The Kiwis will face England in Sundays final at Lords, with the hosts fancied to lift the trophy for the first time in history after Thursdays stunning semi-final win over defending champions Australia.

But Kohli believes New Zealand have what it takes to come out on top, particularly if they are presented with bowler-friendly conditions at the Home of Cricket.

Asked how he expects New Zealand to fare in the World Cup final, Kohli said after Indias shock exit: It depends on the day. If conditions are good for batting, then they will have to bat really well.
If conditions are bowler-friendly and they put enough runs on the board, they become a dangerous side as you saw in this game.
It is anyones game, a knockout match. Whoever plays well on the day will win. I wont pick a favourite. The team who plays the best cricket will win.

New Zealand made a superb start to their World Cup campaign but lost their final three group games to slip to fourth in the table.
They recovered to stun India and reach a successive World Cup final, however, and Eoin Morgan is taking nothing for granted as he bids to lead England to the title.
I think New Zealand throughout the whole tournament have probably been the hardest side to beat, Morgan said on Thursday.
I think their performance in the semi-final was probably their best. They will be a difficult side to beat on Sunday, so we are looking forward to the challenge.
