Teen tennis sensation Cori Gauff says she is backing Serena Williams to win her eighth Wimbledon title this week, while she has described the 23-time Grand Slam winners recent praise as crazy.
The 15-year-old, who also goes by the nickname Coco, saw off Venus Williams, Magdalena Rybarikova and Polona Hercog during a fairytale first week at the All England Club, finally losing to Simona Halep.
The Romanian will now take on Elina Svitolina in the semi-final, while Williams takes on Barbora Strycova, but theres only one person Gauff is rooting for.
Asked by CNN if shes pulling for Serena to win Wimbledon now shes out, Coco revealed: Yes, of course. If its not going to be me, I definitely 100% want it to be her.

Williams was full of praise for Gauff throughout her run at Wimbledon, saying she was on a different level even compared to herself at the same age – something that stunned Coco.
