European champions the Netherlands will take on the USA in the final of the World Cup after a narrow victory over Sweden in their semi-final.
Jackie Groenens pinpoint strike in extra-time was the difference after both sides hit the woodwork in normal time.
A tentative, defensively-minded performance from both sides forced extra-time and the Netherlands stole the advantage thanks to a flowing move in the 99th minute.
Groenen finished off the move with a superb low drive. The goal came as a bitter blow to Sweden who will feel they should have had a penalty in normal time.

Sweden found another gear after going behind, but were unable to break down a stubborn Netherlands defence.
There were worrying scenes in the final moments when Swedens Kosovare Asllani was stretchered off with suspected concussion, forcing the Swedes to push for a late winner with ten players.

But, it was not to be for Sweden, who will now take on England in the third place play-off on Saturday.

The Netherlands, on the other hand, have the chance to add the World Cup to their European Championship triumph.
The USA will be the favourites after a brilliant tournament, with Lyons Parc Olympique Lyonnais set to host the final on Sunday.
