Arsenal have begun negotiations over a deal for Nabil Fekir, making contact, but are yet to produce a bid for the Lyon man.
The France international has been offered to the Gunners for just £30m this summer, despite almost signing for Liverpool for £53m last summer, as he now only has one year left on his contract with the Ligue 1 side.
The Gunners are interested in the 25-year-old and have made contact over a potential move, but discussions are at a very early stage, according to French publication LEquipe.
It is believed that any transfer would depend on Arsenal moving on Mesut Ozil as he is the highest earner at the club, pocketing £350,000-a-week, and they would need to free up his wages.
Arsenal are open to selling Ozil this summer, offering the German to clubs around the world, but are struggling to get him off their hands due to his huge wages and he looks most likely to stay, with no formal offers received.
