Manchester United have seen a bid worth up to £50m for Aaron Wan-Bissaka rejected by Crystal Palace, according to reports.

The Red Devils have been linked with the right-back for a number of weeks as they plan a revamp of their defence, and much of the first team squad.

The 21-year-old has been near the top of their list of targets, but they will need to continue negotiations with Palace who have not been tempted by their offer.

Sky Sports News report that the bid was £35m up front and then a further £15m in add-ons, but the Eagles are looking for a much more significant up front fee.

Palace are thought to be open to the same total fee, £50m, but in one lump sum, rather than paid over time.

United are expected to come back with another bid for the full-back as they look to replace club captain Antonio Valencia who has left this summer, although they do have another target in that position, in PSVs Denzel Dumfries.

With Wan-Bissaka under contract at Selhurst Park for another three years and without him submitting a transfer request, Palace are under no pressure to let him go if their valuation is not met.

It was reported last week that United had submitted an initial bid of £40m for Wan-Bissaka, which was also rejected.
