Track Soft 5 and Rail out 7m from 1400m mark so predominantly on-pace or just off before levelling out late.

Plenty of these reach the mile for the first time, but topweight and locally-trained 1. Jungle Book has already had a couple of good finishing efforts around this trip, and can break through at his eighth start. Carries his biggest weight this prep, but hard fit, likes the course, and should park midfield and charge home.
Dangers: Canberra mare 12. Stardux looks a threat at the weights back out to the mile from a good draw. Stablemate to top pick and fellow three-year-old 3. Two Wrongs Dont will also appreciate this trip after flying home from a mile back at Albury. Canberra mare 7. Generous Dane has only returned one placing from 11 starts, but form is better than it looks, including a nice closing effort at Goulburn this trip two runs back.
How to play it: Jungle Book to win and quinella 1 and 12.

RACE 2 – 1.50PM: R H BLAKE & CO BENCHMARK 66 HANDICAP – HEAT OF WAGGA STAYERS SERIES (2000m)

Another heat of the Wagga Stayers Series where five-year-old Canberra gelding 2. Dream Builder looks well placed getting out to this trip fourth-up. Wasn't far away in a Randwick Highway two runs back before again finishing strong in a BM65 at home. Loves the long straights.
Dangers: Albury-trained gelding 3. Shinseki dropped back from this grade to charge home at Benalla and make it two wins in three, and while this is obviously tougher, draws to get a nice trailing position. Stablemate to the top pick 1. City Of Kirkwall is also looking for this distance after working home OK from well back in the Tom Patton Cup this track, but back up sharply in weight. Another Albury visitor 6. Bocain charged back into the winner's stall at Wodonga last start, and drops in weight for this tougher assignment.
How to play it: Dream Builder to win and quinella 2 and 3.

RACE 3 – 2.30PM: BEDROCK LANDSCAPE SUPPLIES BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP (1200m)

Going with promising filly 11. Belle Of Cadiz fresh. Hasn't started since winning at Ballina on Boxing Day, and now with good young Goulburn stable who scratched the three-year-old from Nowra on Sunday to resume on this bigger track. Just missed first-up last prep when heavily backed.
Dangers: Canberra filly 5. Reason To Smile can really mix her form, but at her best would be in the finish. First two runs back only fair, but generally peaks third and fourth-up in the prep. Albury mare 13. Chayanne also resumes with a sound fresh record while include Albury mare 14. La Dalliance who finds it hard to win but consistently in the placings, and draws to get a lovely run just behind the speed.
How to play it: Belle Of Cadiz each way.

RACE 4 – 3.10PM: SMALLMON BROTHERS WASTE 2YO HANDICAP (1000m)

Plenty of youngsters on debut, but one having her second start looks hard to stop. Canberra filly 9. Stand Your Ground almost defied a betting drift on debut this track powering home to just miss, and has been given six weeks to reload for a similar task. Draws well.
Dangers: Big watch Canberra filly 12. Calescent which was considered good enough to debut in the group 3 Gimcrack at Randwick in the spring when well beaten, but was put away by leading stable before trialling strongly last week and draws the fence. Warwick Farm colt 5. Tsar Star (Star Witness x Ciara's Cross by War Pass) trialled well in heavy ground while expect Victorian-based filly 11. Miss Geneva to improve significantly after tackling stronger metro company first two runs this prep.
How to play it: Stand Your Ground to win and box trifecta 5-9-11-12.

RACE 5 – 3.50PM: OLLIE'S SECURITY CLASS 1 HANDICAP (1200m)

Goulburn mare 1. Designer Dance is full of promise, and was scratched from Goulburn last Monday to be saved for firmer track. Flew home on debut here, and then confirmed that run again finishing fast to win at second start as a short-priced favourite. Sneaking up in weight, but drawn to get plenty of cover back in the field before charging home.
Dangers: Canberra mare 2. Enjoy The Stars seems to perform better when positioned on-pace, and third-up this prep should be in the finish. Albury mare 3. Nicconi Poni is screaming to win after running a strong of placings late last year and first two runs back this prep while Kembla four-year-old 5. Direct Default won his maiden three back at Queanbeyan, then just missed at Nowra before taking on a decent field in heavy ground at home and wasn't far away. Will need luck from a wide gate, but capable over this trip.
How to play it: Designer Dance to win.

RACE 6 – 4.25PM: HUNTSMAN RECRUITING CLASS 2 HANDICAP (SCALED -0.5kg, 1400m)

Good race, with several chances. Albury mare 6. Cathanda is flying at the moment and was a big market firmer winning a BM58 over this trip last start. Races are generally spaced, and drawn again to get cover back in the field and saved for one late burst.
Dangers: Victorian gelding 2. Inglesias hasn't quite gone on with the job up to BM64 level after winning his maiden this track three runs back, but hard fit for leading stable. Local gelding 3. Jaytee's The Fox was rewarded for some consistent closing form bolting in a weaker race at Corowa last start, but draws wide for this tougher test while resuming Canberra gelding 4. Battle Fury normally takes one run before showing his best, but has had a recent trial, and cant be under-estimated for leading stable. Canberra filly 7. MookareenaRead More – Source
