Manchester United have been told theyll need to break their transfer record to sign Harry Maguire this summer after Leicester City raised their asking price for the defender.
Jose Mourinho was desperate to sign the 26-year-old last summer but United failed with two bids for the centre-back.
Maguire, who had thrived at the World Cup, was keen on a move to Old Trafford but respected Leicesters decision to block his move to the Theatre of Dreams.
The Foxes valued Maguire at around £75million at the time but the Daily Star claim their asking price is now around £90m.
That would be a club record fee for United, who paid £89m for Paul Pogba in 2016.
United are likely to baulk at Leicesters asking price for Maguire, who signed a new long-term deal at the club after they refused to let him move to Old Trafford.
