Manchester United caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says Matteo Darmian was the biggest plus point of the sides FA Cup third round win against Reading.
Juan Mata and Romelu Lukaku struck in the first half to book Uniteds place in the fourth round but it was the flattest performance of Solskjaers reign so far.
The Norwegian made nine changes to his starting line-up and Darmian was picked in an unorthodox centre-back position.
The Italian was expected to leave United last summer but he was surprisingly retained and Solskjaer says the defenders performance was the main positive from the win.
He is the biggest plus today, Solskjaer told MUTV.
Matteo looked like he had played there before. I dont think he put a foot wrong.
