Nemanja Matic has revealed that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer urged Manchester Uniteds players to play more forward after taking over from Jose Mourinho.
Solskjaer was appointed Uniteds interim manager last week after executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward decided to sack Mourinho.
And the Norwegian got off to a fine start as United sealed a 5-1 victory over Cardiff City on Saturday.
United looked significantly more of an attacking threat in Solskjaers first game and Matic claims the emphasis before the Cardiff game was to improve going forward.
He is only two days with us but we had a few meetings, said Matic.
He said we need to play more forward, to be more dangerous in attack, to run more, to compete with everything and thats exactly what we did today and we are happy because of that.

Matic also believes that Uniteds players should take some blame for the results that led to Mourinhos exit.
