The Hawks also held their annual Thank You day on Saturday to say thank you to the sponsors, supporters, past players and families for everything they do for the Hawks. We also received a sponsorship cheque from our major sponsor Ventura Home Group. Ventura representatives Sunny and Ruby presented the Hawks committee with a $10,000 cheque in what is a huge boost to the Hawks endeavours on and off the field. As a volunteer-driven organisation, the Hawks would not have the fantastic facilities that they do with out the generous support of their many sponsors. As a club we are responsible for the facilities we have,” said Hawks sponsorship organiser Michael Earl. “Unlike other clubs in the BMRCA, we are responsible for the maintenance and works for our turf wicket. The maintenance of our machinery and the upkeep and improvements of the training facilities is our responsibility. “The Shire of Augusta Margaret River do a wonderful job on the ground for us year in year out, which complements the turf wicket we have. “We have been instrumental over the years in improving the facilities we have; from installing a third cricket pitch in Gloucester Park, a complete rebuild of our training nets and storage shed and the results are brilliant. “We thank all of our sponsors and supporters and we hope we are doing you all proud! This gave the Hawks a glimmer of hope, however we would have to bring all of our trademark pressure and intensity to halt the YOBS batting lineup.
