NSW Metro captain Ollie Davies has created history at the national under-19 cricket championships by slamming a record-setting double century against Northern Territory, including a perfect six sixes from one over.
After he lost the toss at Adelaide's Glandore Oval on Monday, everything else panned out sensationally for Davies who amassed 207 off just 115 deliveries as NSW motored to 4-406 from their 50 overs.
The 18-year-old also cracked a tournament-record 17 sixes, with six of those coming off spinner Jack Jones in the 40th over.
"After the first two sixes I had in the back of my head I'd like to try and give it a crack and it came off. I was trying to target forward of square to cow corner," said Davies, who also struck 14 boundaries.

"I was down on one leg before the ball was bowled and I tried to slog him over midwicket."
It is the first time a double century has been scored since the tournament was staged in a one-day format.
"It was an amazing feeling to hit the ball so cleanly," said Davies, who converted his hundred to a double century in just 39 balls.
Sam Fanning chimed in with 99 off 109 balls, as he and Davies added 278 for the second wicket.
In reply, Northern Territory were restricted to 9-248.
