Jurgen Klopp revealed that he apologised to Marco Silva after running onto the field while celebrating Liverpools last-gasp winner against Everton.
The Merseyside derby looked to be heading for a goalless draw after important saves from Alisson and Jordan Pickford at Anfield but the latter made a terrible mistake to hand Liverpool three points at the death.
Pickford made a hash of Virgil van Dijks mishit ball into the penalty area and second-half substitute Divock Origi was able to latch onto the rebound, slotting home Liverpools winner from close-range.
The result means Liverpool remain two points adrift of Premier League leaders Manchester City, while Everton must settle for sixth place.
Emotions got the better of Klopp as he sprinted onto the pitch immediately after Origis winner and the German apoligised to his opposition manager following the victory.

Asked about his conversation with Silva shortly after the final whistle, Klopp told Sky Sports: I had to apologise because I didnt want to be disrespectful but I couldnt stop myself. It just happened!
The game was with unbelievable intensity. Both teams had chances. Both goalkeepers had outstanding performances. In the end it was a very weird goal. I cant imagine the disappointment of Everton. But we got it and we will take it. It is a brilliant night.

If I could describe it [how he feels] then I would have control over it. We dont want to look for excuses but thats how it is. Im not sure what the FA has to do in a situation like this but I will have to wait.
The plan was not to run [onto the pitch to celebrate]! When I chose to stop I was close to Alisson. He was surprised! It was the last situation of the game. Both teams delivered an unbelievable fight. Both teams tried really to play football. No harsh things. The game was really good.

We tried to control the game they had good counter-attacks. We tried to go in behind but we didnt play exactly like that, that often. We had our moments and had brilliant chances. Our counter-press was really good and we stayed in the game until the end.
Origi claimed that his hard work in forcing his way back into Liverpools squad paid off at Anfield.
It is definitely one of the most crucial moments I have scored. You could see the emotions. I am very happy of course! he said.
I tried to be ready. There was a lot of scuffles so I knew I had to be ready. I had a tap-in so it was good! I tried to use every good and bad moments.
Those bad moments form you as a player. I try to play my game and enjoy it. Today it has paid off. Scoring as a striker is one of the most beautiful feelings.
And in a derby it makes it even more special. It is a crucial three points for the team so we just have to keep going like this.
