Abu Dhabi: Briton Lewis Hamilton has ended his fifth title-winning Formula One season in style with victory from pole position for Mercedes in Abu Dhabi.

Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel finished second with Red Bull's Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo crossing in third and fourth respectively.
Former two-time world champion Fernando Alonso completed his 311th and final Formula One race to end a 17-year career just outside the points in 11th place for McLaren.
Having already secured the title with two races to spare, Hamilton finished the season with 408 points from 21 races. Vettel had 320 and Kimi Raikkonen remained third on 251, despite his last race for Ferrari ending early. Ricciardo finished the season in sixth overall with 170 points.

"I am so happy right now," said Hamilton after Hollywood actor Will Smith brought down the chequered flag at the floodlit Yas Marina circuit on Hamilton's 73rd career win.
The Briton, who has won 51 of the 100 races in the V6 turbo hybrid era, became the first driver to score more than 400 points in a season. His victory left him 18 wins away from Michael Schumacher's all-time record.
Raikkonen retired after just seven laps when his car lost power and ground to a halt on the main straight.
"What's happening? I don't have power," exclaimed the 2007 world champion, who is moving to Sauber next season.
The 39-year-old Finn, who had started in fourth place and alongside team mate Sebastian Vettel, stepped out of the car and walked back to the paddock with his helmet on as the virtual safety car was deployed.

The real safety car had already been in action, coming out at the end of the opening lap when Nico Hulkenberg's Renault was sent barrel-rolling into the tyre wall after a collision with Romain Grosjean's Haas.
The shaken German remained in the upside down car as marshals doused flames at the rear, finally clambering out through the halo head protection device after the Renault was turned over
