Emery wanted Ramsey to forget his contract stand-off with the club, and told the Welshman as much during a chat after the Chelsea defeat last weekend.

Second half we created a few opportunities and its a new process for us. We had a tough start and are trying to improve every game, Ramsey explained.
It was difficult, it was my first 90 minutes – even through pre-season – so I am glad I got that in the system. We are progressing every game, it was open at times, but I am glad we got a win.
