When CM Punk and Colt Cabana won in court during a now famous June trial, both must have expected that years of legal hell had finally concluded.
Cabana and Punk were sued by WWE doctor Chris Amman as a result of a podcast hosted by Cabana but made newsworthy through Punks comments/
Both contributed their own legal fees and lawyer teams for the trial, and it was widely suggested that Punk would help his friends legal fees due to his increased wealth, and portion of blame for the trial occurring.
Suits will need to be pressed again however, as Cabana is now suing former best friend Punk following the completion of the trial.
Cabana, real name Scott Colton, is now alleging that Phil CM Punk Brooks promised to cover his legal fees.
Colton is claiming that he received a text from Brooks telling him he would be 100% covered financially, but that has yet to occur.

The Chicago-Sun Times are reporting Coltons allegations, including the amount he feels he is owed.
Cabanas lawsuit contends Punk promised to help him out with the legal bills they amassed fighting the defamation lawsuit. Cabana claims Punk told him in a text that he would be “100% covered.”
Punk has failed to keep that promise, leaving him with unpaid legal bills totalling $513,736, according to the lawsuit.
Punk asked Cabana to pay half of the legal fees, which comes out to $256,868, saying “You are on your own.
Coltons lawsuit has claimed that Brooks acted with fraud, malice and oppression toward Colton, with the deliberate intention of causing Colton harm, and Colton is seeking $200,000 in damages and $1 million in punitive/exemplary damages.

The successful victory over Amman was seen as a justified result for Cabana and Punk, who have been friends for nearly 20 years.
Now it seems that money has driven the two apart, and it remains to be seen who will be still in the green following the conclusion of this new case.
