The season is yet to begin and Tottenham have already been on the receiving end of ridicule from fans of their bitter rivals Arsenal.
Despite a lack of signings this summer, theres a feeling of optimism around Spurs as Mauricio Pochettinos players prepare for their first campaign in the clubs new stadium after moving out of Wembley.
Tottenham also have a World Cup winner in their midst in Hugo Lloris but Frances hero was upstaged as he made his return to training earlier this week… by Spurs honours board.
Welcome back, World Cup winner! Tottenhams official account tweeted.
In the background of the video, Arsenal fans were quick to spot a rather sad-looking list of honours on an illuminated board at the entrance of the training ground.
Gooners bombarded Spurs tweet with abuse, reminding them that it has been more than ten years since their north London foes last won a piece of silverware.
The big blank space on the right-hand side of the board illustrates this point in brutal fashion.
Heres how Arsenal supporters reacted to Tottenhams McDonalds menu honours board. You have to admit it bears a striking resemblance…
State of that honours board
