
Manchester United chiefs have bowed to pressure from Jose Mourinho and have released funds for a late summer spree, reports claim.
The Portuguese voiced his concerns over the clubs activity in the transfer market, with Fred, Diogo Dalot and reserve goalkeeper Lee Grant the only arrivals.
However, Mourinho remains the full backing of United bosses, including Ed Woodward.
Club officials understand his frustrations over a disappointing pre-season, with 17 first-team players unavailable due to an injury crisis and a large number of World Cup absentees and they have informed Mourinho that there are still funds at his disposal to spend before the window slams shut, according to the Guardian.
Mourinho views a centre-back and a wide man as the most important positions to strengthen, with Harry Maguire and Ivan Perisic at the top of his wishlist.

He admitted he thought he would only get one more signing, but there remains the possibility that United bosses can get two players over the line before the 9 August deadline.
