Margaret River Hockey Club Senior womens faced a Wests full side on Friday at 8pm.
Conditions were good for a winter hockey game in Busselton, only cold with not too many clouds around.
Margaret River had 10 players, one which filled in from the Masters team.
Margaret River played a different structure, due to lack of numbers, to their usual and it paid off, the women had plenty of opportunities to score, some near misses and overall had more play in their attacking ends compared to Wests but unfortunately couldn't find the back of the net.
Was a close call at the end of the match with only a few seconds to go to try and draw the score with Wests but to no avail. Margaret River went down 1 nil.
The Margaret River team played very well together to link passes and create opportunities and space with only 10 players and individually the women played their hearts out and most of all, had fun doing so. Player of the match thanks to the Brew Shack was Lisa Tennant
