
Gareth Bale has asked to meet with Julen Lopetegui when he returns to Spain for pre-season, according to reports.
The Real Madrid forward is the subject of intense transfer speculation this summer after revealing after the Champions League final he was considering leaving Spain.
Manchester United want to sign Bale and stepped up their pursuit of the Welshman in recent days after it was announced Cristiano Ronaldo would be joining Juventus this summer.

Lopetegui is set to kick off his tenure at the club and Bale wants assurances he is a key figure in the Spaniards plans for the club.
Bale was again asked about his future last week and refused to give too much away.
He said: Maybe Ill stay at Madrid, maybe not. I have to talk to my agent. I need more minutes. It frustrated me not to be a starter in the Champions League final.
