England were left fuming by the referees decision not to send off Wilmar Barrios for an alleged headbutt on Jordan Henderson shortly before half-time in the Three Lions World Cup last-16 tie against Colombia.
The Three Lions were in the ascendancy against the South Americans and were awarded a free-kick just outside Colombias box in the 40th minute.
However, Kieran Trippier was prevented from taking the free-kick for nearly three minutes when Henderson went down in an incident off the ball.
Replays showed that Barrios had caught Henderson with a headbutt but the referee gave the Colombian just a yellow card after assistance from the video referee.
The referee was not given permission to view the incident on the monitor at the side of the pitch and instead took the sole advice from his assistants.

However, former referee Mark Clattenburg insists the referee should have been able to take a second view of the incident because the headbutt was violent conduct and deserving of a red card.
Clearly England arent getting justice with VAR, said Clattenburg.
What you can see clearly is an altercation between Henderson and the defender. Whats happening is the video ref examines the footage showing the defender putting his head into his chest which is a yellow but then the movement up to his head is violent play and premeditated
I want to see the video ref send the ref to the review area to see it.
England supporters were furious that the incident did not result in a penalty given that it occured in the 18-yard box.
However, Clattenburg clarified that the referee was right not to point to the spot as the incident happened when the ball was not active in play.
The ball isnt in play so thats why it isnt a penalty, continued Clattenburg.
