Liverpool believe they can make a breakthrough in their pursuit of Nabil Fekir after resuming talks with Lyon over a summer transfer, reports say.
Jurgen Klopp wanted Fekir to follow Fabinho and Naby Keita to Anfield last month but his proposed £53million move fell through.
Fekir underwent a medical at Liverpool and was on the verge of signing a deal with the Premier League club when they voiced their concerns over a historic injury.

Liverpool attempted to renegotiate a fee with Lyon but the Ligue 1 outfit instead pulled the plug on the deal completely and said his price would go up after the World Cup.

They hope to finally secure the 24-year-old midfielders signature once the World Cup finishes – Fekirs France progressed to the quarter-finals with a 4-3 victory over Argentina on Saturday.
Liverpools fresh approach for Fekir comes after Premier League rivals Manchester United were said to have submitted an offer to bring him to Old Trafford.
Jose Mourinho is keen to bolster his squad this summer and has reportedly identified Fekir as a surprise target for the remainder of the transfer window.
But Liverpool appear in pole position to strike a deal and last week his agent claimed Fekirs move to Anfield was not finished.
Why hasnt he signed? Because it is not finished. The story is not finished, Jean-Pierre Bernes said.
