Arsenal supporters were sent into a frenzy as impending signing Lucas Torreira produced an outstanding performance in Uruguays 2-1 victory over Portugal.
Edinson Cavani stole the headlines as he scored a magnificent double in one of the most thrilling matches of the World Cup which saw Cristiano Ronaldo and Co get dumped out at the last-16 stage.
The Paris Saint-Germain striker combined brilliantly with Luis Suarez in the 7th minute to open the scoring before Pepe leveled for Portugal with a header just after half-time.

Cavani responded in style, though, and found the corner of the net with a composed finish from the edge of the box to send Uruguay into the quarter-finals.

While Cavani understandably received most of the plaudits for his display, it was the performance of diminutive midfielder Torreira which most excited Arsenal fans.
Torriera is expected to complete a £25million move to the Emirates next week and the 22-year-old proved on Saturday evening that he will be worth every penny.
The Sampdoria man set out his stall by flooring Ronaldo in the 5th minute and made the Real Madrid superstars life a misery for the full 90 minutes.
Some Arsenal supporters were even asking if they get Ronaldo free in Torreiras pocket.
Heres how they reacted to his impressive display…
If Arsenal do sign Torreira, do we get Ronaldo for free in his pocket?#PITBULL
