King City, Canada: David Warner has been bowled out on his second ball in an unceremonious welcome back to the crease that lasted just three minutes.
In his first game of professional cricket since the ball tampering scandal three months ago, Warner was first to bat for the Winnipeg Hawks against the Montreal Tigers in the inaugural T20 competition in Canada.

After grabbing one run on his first hit from friend and fellow Australian Peter Siddle, Warner was bowled out by Lasith Malinga at the top of the second.
The Sri Lankan right-arm fast bowler left Warner caught out on his feet, shattering the stumps in front of a subdued crowd of less than 500 at the tiny Maple Leaf Cricket Club, north of Toronto.
Warner is facing off against two Australians playing for Montreal Tigers, Siddle and Moises Henriques.

Warner's former captain, Steve Smith, had an encouraging return the game on Friday with 61 runs for the Toronto Knights, helping his side to a narrow win over the Vancouver Knights.
Smith caught Vancouver captain Chris Gayle out in the fourth over.
He spoke candidly after the game, saying that he needed the forced break to overcome "mental fatigue" that was causing him to make some "horrible decisions".
